A certain N- stage shift register has its tap connections configured so that it produces an m- sequence. The shift register is initially loaded with the contents c = (c0, c1…c N –1) resulting in a periodic sequence of period 2N –1. Prove that if the shift registers is loaded with some other contents c ≠ 0 the new output sequence will be a cyclic shift of the original output sequence.
