Each of these companies has grown in size over time by acquiring assets and investing in other companies. (Amounts are in millions of dollars.)
1. Complete the following table by computing the total asset turnover ratio and the return on assets for each company for each of the years 2011 and 2012.
2. Based on the computed ratios, comment on the companies’ success in implementing their growth strategies and effectively utilizing their assets to generate revenue and net earnings. 3. Assuming that you are interested in investing in one of these three companies, which company would you choose? Write a brief report to justify your choice.
