a) What does double jeopardy mean?
b) I recall reading about cases where people were prosecuted by a state and by the federal government for the same offense. Why doesn't that violate double jeopardy?

d) O. J. Simpson was acquitted after the most highly publicized trial in history, yet he was then sued by the families of the victims. Didn't that violate double jeopardy?
