Deb’s Creamery is a retail store that serves a variety of ice cream flavors. The owner would like to add a flavor to the menu and needs to decide between Blueberry Cheesecake and Lemon Custard. To help her decide, she randomly selects 10 customers and asks them to taste each flavor and rate them on a scale from 1 to 20. A rating of 1 indicates the taster does not like the flavor, and a rating of 20 indicates the taster likes it very much. The results are as follows and can also be found in the Excel file creamery.xlsx.
Perform a hypothesis test using α = 0.05 to determine if a difference exists in the ratings of the two flavors.
