Vikas Goel received his M.Tech. degree in Instrumentation from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, INDIA in 1998. He is currently working as Sr. Manager – R&D at Labat Asia Pvt. Ltd., Mohali in INDIA since January 2018. He is pursuing his Ph.D. from Chandigarh Uni., Gharuan, Mohali, Punjab, INDIA. The current field of his research is in pattern recognition using image processing techniques. In past, he has worked on different medical diagnostic instruments development using embedded system technologies. He has headed the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation at Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Bhaddal, Punjab, INDIA during 2009-11. Besides, he has 16 years plus experience in industrial research in medical diagnostics instruments as well as image processing area. The author has one Indian patent entitled ‘Modelling of Filter Media’ and published many papers in national and international conferences in embedded system based applications and image processing area. He has guided more than 50 Post Graduate Engineering students for their thesis work.
