I am a student at Eastern Gateway Community College pursuing my Associates in Arts. After I receive my degree, I will be studying at The Ohio State University where I will receive my degrees in Computer Engineering and Special Education.
I started tutoring during my senior year of high school. I worked with students who had learning disabilities, IEPs and other special learning needs. The staff of my high school learned many of the students responded better to peer on peer help than help from the teaching staff.
I have worked with students in all grades in math, computer courses, SAT and ACT preparation. I have also worked with many adults in computer courses, SAT preparation, ACT preparation, and IT certification Preparation.
When working with students, i try to individualize each lesson for each student. I have found no two students learn the same way. I use learning styles, interests and personality factors to create and present each lesson.
I have 6 years of tutoring experience. I also have 5 years of IT experience.
