Find a news story or journal article that describes an observational study in which the author’s actual goal is to try to establish a causal connection. Read the article, and then discuss how well the author has made a case for a causal connection. Consider the factors discussed in Section 11.4, and discuss whether they have been addressed by the author. Finally, discuss the extent to which the author has convinced you that there is a causal connection.
