In the book Design of Experiments for Quality Improvement, published by the Japanese Standards Association (1989), a study is reported on the extraction of polyethylene by using a solvent and how the amount of gel (proportion) is influenced by three factors, the type of solvent, extraction temperature, and extraction time.
