Before returning the laptop, Citrin deleted all the data in the computer by transmitting to the computer a secure- erasure program that was designed, by writing over the deleted files, to prevent their recovery. In violation of his duty of loyalty, he destroyed files that incriminated himself and other files that were also the property of his employer. After Citrin violated his duty of loyalty, did an agency relationship exist? In other words, was the agency relationship terminated then? Why or why not?
