You should be able to use what you have learned and the information provided in a company’s annual report to find the answers to questions regarding the company’s capital stock. Look at GE’s 2010 Annual Report (or 10-K) by going to www.ge.com/ar2010/index.html.ge.com/ar2010/index.html. Click Downloads and then Audited Financial Statements. The statement of financial position (balance sheet) information is on page 68.
1. Determine the dollar amount of common stock and the number of common shares outstanding as reported on the statement of financial position as of December 31, 2010.
