Project Description:

300 to 350 word
some years ago a computer buff in central canada made a large sum of money gambling on the quebec provincial lottery. the secret of his success was that he had studied the numbers drawn over the history of the lottery and discovered that they were not completely random.

obtain the frequency distribution of numbers drawn on the lotto 6/49 (for the last year, for example). do you think that the results reflect random selection? use the probability concepts you have learned to support your justification and conclusion.

note: this online exercise has no clear-cut answer – answer will vary. the goal is to apply the concepts that you have learned in the probability chapter. therefore, in addition to the grading criteria stated in the course outline, you will also be graded on how well you apply the concepts and justify your conclusion.
