patience sanchez worked as a claims analyst in the claims management department of southern healthcare network, inc. when questions arose about sanchez's performance on several occasions, department manager, debbie ayala met with sanchez to discuss, among other things, sanchez's personal use of a business phone. ayala reminded sanchez that company policy prohibited excessive personal calls, and that these would result in the termination of her employment. ayala began to monitor sanchez's phone usage, noting lengthy outgoing calls on several occasions, including some long-distance calls. eventually, ayala terminated sanchez's employment, and sanchez filed a suit in federal court against southern. sanchez asserted in part, that in monitoring her phone calls, the employer had invaded her privacy. southern asked the court to dismiss the claim. in whose favor should the court rule, and why?
