1. structural defects in automobile doors are detected, and the number of occurrences of each defect type is given as follows:

misassembled parts 4

uncoupled parts 2

construct and interpret a pareto diagram of the collected data. (20 points)

2. assume a problem of computer downtime and build a cause and effect diagram where the generic headings of the problem are software, hardware, users, and environment. (35 points)
3. assume x is normally distributed with a mean of 10 and a standard deviation of 2. determine the value for x that solves each of the following: (7 pts each)
(a) p(x > x) = 0.5
(b) p(x > x) = 0.95
(c) p(x < x < 10) = 0.2
(d) p(-x < x - 10 < x) = 0.95
(e) p(-x < x - 10 < x) = 0.99
