Refer to the labour force data in Data Set 14 in Appendix B, using the two columns for Male and Female Newfoundlanders. Compare the sizes of the occupational groups for each of the two genders by constructing two frequency polygons on the same axis. (Interpret the "size" of an occupational group as the number of individuals having a given SOC code.) Does the distribution of job-group sizes appear to differ substantially for male and female members of the Newfoundland labour force? Can we tell from the results if it is the same job groups for both genders that have the higher frequencies?
