A botanist is interested in studying the shapes of leaves and the forces that mold them. When she goes to the top of the tree, she finds very deeply indented leaves with hardly any broad expanse of blade.

Which might be considered as constants initially? Can you identify any sub models you would want to study in detail? Identify any data you would want collected.
