The North Atlantic Consortium of Nephrology Associations

(NACNA) is made up of two professional societies, the North American Nephrologist Society (NANS) and the European Council on Nephrology (ECN). The NACNA organizes an annual conference, and registration for the conference recently closed. Conference organizers now must print badges for the attendees in preparation for the conference. The NACNA conference registration system produces the file registrants that contains the first name, last name, affiliation (NANS or ECN), and membership status (full, student, retired, nonmember) in separate fields for each conference registrant. Note that the Affiliation field should be blank for all registrants with a value of nonmember for membership status.

To print the badges, the first and last names must be combined in a single field called Name and separated by a space. A new field called Color must also be created;

the value of this field must be Blue if the record corresponds to a member of the NANS and Red if the record corresponds to a member of the ECN. LO 4, 5, 7

a. Using the data in the file registrants, create a new called Name that contains the first and last names separated by a space for each registrant.

b. In the data you created in part (a), add a new field called Color that has the value Blue if the record corresponds to a member of the NANS and Red if the record corresponds to a member of the ECN. Save your file under the name badges.xlsx.

c. Using the file badges that you created in part (b), determine if any records are missing values for the Association field. Provide a list of the names of the registrants for whom membership status is full, student, or retired and the value of the field Association is missing.
