Identify at least five internal and five external audiences for your messages, and work across the columns to analyze each.

Audience Audience Analysis Communication Objectives Message and Medium Messenger Timing or Sequence Create one row for each audience group or person. You may refine the audience groups as you proceed through the Audience Analysis. Identify information needs and potential emotional reactions of each audience group. You may need to refine your initial audience list into smaller or bigger groups if you realize they have different needs. Review the information needs and potential emotional reactions and define specific objectives your message(s) must meet. What do you want each audience to do, think, or feel differently after receiving your communication? Consider the identified communication objectives and determine the number of messages and the best medium so that audiences get what they need and feel supported. If you have multiple messages, you will likely have multiple messengers. Consider who is best equipped to deliver each message and who will be best received by each audience group. People need time to understand, accept, and adapt to change. More complex changes require more messages, and the delivery, timing, and sequence will affect how well people accept and implement the change.
