Read a research article in a peer-reviewed journal in a field of interest to you, and see how the authors set up their statistical inference. Do they use confidence intervals and/or hypothesis testing? Were any of their results significant? How do they discuss alpha levels, p-values, significance, and so on? Was their analysis easy to follow? What would you like to see more carefully explained?
