Many of my students over the last couple of years have been earning money as Instagram influencers. The amount of influencers and their popularity has been growing steadily. The top 50 Instagram influencers (www.influencermarkinghub.com) have over 3 billion followers together. Unfortunately, this development has a downside for dogs. According to the Daily Mail from August 2018, ?dogs deemed too ugly for Instagram are being dumped at shelters.? The general perception of ugliness disproportionately affects older dogs.
