Since 2022, many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the EV sector have struggled to keep up with market demand. Besides, there is no universal standard charging socket for direct current fast-charging. OEMs argue that setting no standard early on is good as it allows manufacturers to experiment and drives innovation. However, as a long-term solution, this is detrimental to the consumer.
