Jillian Mitchell is a citizen and resident of Canada. She applies for a position as a film editor at the California offices of Film Company. Although she is highly qualified for the job, she is not hired. She later discovers that Film Company executives expressed preference to hire a male for the job believing that a man could better endure the often round-the-clock hours required during a movie editing job.
