Genus plc invited application for ten million ordinary shares of £1 each, stipulating that it should receive 20p per share with the application, 70p more per share should be paid at the point the shares are allotted. A final call of 20p per share will be made on a future date. Applications were received for twelve million shares. Those for two million were rejected and the amounts received from them refunded in full. Others were allotted shares on 14 March 2010. By the year-end, 31 December 2010, £39,550 due on the allotment was still to be received.
