Although many investing websites provide historical data for dividends, stock prices, and stock splits that you can access with a simple click of your mouse, one site that is especially easy to use is Yahoo! Finance. To find information about historical prices, dividends, and stock splits, follow these steps. First go to Yahoo!

Finance at finance.yahoo.com.

Next enter the symbol for the stock you are evaluating and click enter. Then click on the tab for Historical Data. Information for stock prices, dividends, and stock splits is listed beginning with the most current date. To find dates when dividends were paid or stock splits occurred, scroll down through the prices until you find the information you want. If you want to go further back than the dates in the default setting, you can adjust the date setting to increase or reduce the time span for the information.
