For flow at very low speeds and with large viscosity (the so-called creeping flows) such as occur
Question:
For flow at very low speeds and with large viscosity (the so-called creeping flows) such as occur in lubrication, it is possible to delete the inertia terms, Dv/Dt from the Navier- Stokes equation. For flows at high velocity and small viscosity, it is not proper to delete the viscous term v∇2 v. Explain this.
