• Contact the office for veterans’ affairs in your community or college and ask about opportunities to volunteer, to assist veterans, or to help with programs offered through the office.

• Contact the USO, National Guard, or any branch of the active military and ask about volunteer opportunities, including helping with local send‐off or welcome- home ceremonies.

As you put your service learning experience together, keep a journal of your activities, the time you spend, contact information for the people you work with, and your thoughts about the process.
