For an object starting at rest with a constant acceleration, derive the equation that relates its speed to the distance it has traveled. In other words, eliminate time in the two equations relating d to t and v to t. Test the equation by showing that an object reaches a final speed of 9.8 m/s if it is dropped from a height of 4.9 m.
