"Services" often have the connotation of low level, servant-like activities. So, such services as cleaning, food provision, delivery, and protective actions are often seen as unsophisticated and marginally participatory in the economy. It is said that there is no need to internationalize when others abroad can do it so easily as well, and often at a much lower price.

Yet, others identify top notch trained people as leading service providers-be it as astronauts, international lenders, or masters of drone airplanes. They claim that the future belongs to service providers, and that proper understanding and dispersion of services will make the difference between winners and losers. Some even feel that the entire agricultural sector will eventually change into a service rather than a production field.
