Student researchers wanted to determine the average reaction time for student athletes at their school. They used a reaction time applet that had students click a button on a computer as fast as they could after they saw a light turn green on the screen. They tested 42 randomly selected varsity athletes and the results, in seconds, are the shown in the dotplot. The mean time is 0.297 seconds and the standard deviation is 0.041 seconds.
