The idea of ‘getting work done through the efforts of other people’ may not satisfy all possible criteria for the role of the manager. it does, however, have the advantage of simplicity and focuses on what in reality is at the heart of effective management. What do you think? Do you agree with Drucker that this definition is unsatisfactory? How would you define the true meaning of management?
