What kind of internship would be ideal for you at the end of this program of study? What opportunities do you think there are in your own country or will you have to travel in order to find the right kind of opportunity? In the role of someone looking for imminent internship, investigate the opportunities as a small team. Find at least two others that are looking for similar opportunities. Begin by listing the experiential learning opportunities you would hope to find. Now try and match these against domestic organizations.

Do they accept internships? Would you want to have an internship with them? If either question is negative broaden your search to the region and then globally. What hurdles might be in the way of finding internship abroad?

Now think about the supporting structures around internship and investigate whether your government, charities, or other organizations help organize and fund internships.

What criteria do they use? If no such support exists, how would you “sell” the concept of internship support to them? What have previous cohorts of students done in order to find suitable internships with or without support?
