Noon and Blyton (2007) and Krischer et al. (2010) describe a range of employee survival strategies and counterproductive work behaviours to be found in organizations. Familiarize yourself with examples of each of these. Reflect on your own work experience and talk to friends and relations who work or have worked in organizations. Find examples of such strategies and behaviours. For each one, answer the questions: 

1. Why did the person engage in it – what was their objective? 

2. What was the effect of their doing so, on themselves, their fellow workers or their organization? 

Relate what you find to the theory and research on the subject.
