Independence has long been considered one of the most important Rules (101) in the Code of Ethics. This is particularly relevant to auditors since they must be independent in order to perform the audit. In your initial post, provide an example of that area is a threat to an auditor’s independence, how it would potentially impair the auditor's independence and what the auditor would need to do in order to remove that threat. There are several examples already provided for each threat but try and think of a new or different example.
