Question:
1. Many of us have communication apprehension when delivering a presentation. Describe two or three things that you fear could go wrong in a presentation.
2. list of strategies that could help someone manage their communication apprehension and possibly prevent some of these negative things from happening (be sure to reference the "tips" reading in your suggestions!). Please feel free comment specifically on some of the things your classmates in this group wrote about in question one.
3. As you learned in this week's reading, there are five canons of rhetoric, one of which is "style." Discuss why style is important to a presentation and then take some time to "wordsmith" a part of your presentation. Ideally, you will receive feedback from those in this group to help you make this part that much more effective.
4. Please watch the following "Interpersonal Communication Movie/TV Analysis Presentation" video (disclaimer: this is a video I found on YouTube, she is not a former student). What do you think this speaker did well? What do you think she could have done better? Please critique this video making sure to refer to at least 2 of the 10 guidelines you read about in 12.3 (did she meet them or not?).
