Question:
A 22-year-old man presented with a 1-week history of haematuria and haematospermia. He
did not have dysuria, frequency or suprapubic pain. He was a medical student and had
recently returned from an elective in East Africa. He had sexual intercourse with two fellow
students while abroad and took trips into the countryside, including swimming in Lake
Malawi. He took malarial prophylaxis throughout the trip and had continued to do so since his
return. He had no other complaints.
There were no findings on examination. Routine bloods showed a mildly raised eosinophil
count.
What is the most likely diagnosis?
