If not, then the cashier proceeds with the checkout. Next, the customer presents any coupons to be used in the transaction. The cashier scans the coupons and tells the customer the total amount owed.
Next, the cashier asks for the payment method, including a credit card, debit card, gift card, cash, or store card. These methods can be combined, such as paying half credit and half cash. The items are bagged once the payment is processed, and the receipt is placed in the bag.
