A group of researchers devised a stress questionnaire consisting of 15 life events. They are interesting in determining whether there is cross-cultural agreement on the relative amount of stress each event causes. The questionnaire is given to 300 Americans and 300 Italians and participants are asked to rate the level of stress experienced from each life event. Results are below. Use SPSS to calculate Pearson r to see if ratings done by the Americans are correlated with ratings done by the Italians. To get to the Pearson r, you click "Analyze," then "Correlate," then "bivariate," You don't have to worry about whether it's one-tailed or 2-tailed. Youj ust need the Pearson r correlation coefficient.
