Question:
A Publix store uses the point-of-sale system (POS) as a grocery checkout system. When a customer brings the items to the register, the cashier passes the items over the scanner to identify the items. If the scanner successfully reads the Universal Product Code (UPC) bar code of the item, the system looks up the price from UPC Price Files. If prices for all the items are looked up, the system computes the total costs of order. Payment could be made by cash, check, debit card, or credit card. If the cashier collects money from the customer, the customer is given a receipt.
Please hand-draw a conceptual DFD to document the major processes of Publix’s check-out system.
