There are 75, 100 W incandescent bulbs for lighting that are on the majority of the day

For heat production for 15 lb pigs, use the values given in the class handout.

Find:

a. For 15 lb pigs with the inside temperature at 85F, find the heat balance ventilation rate (Qh) based on outside temperatures of -10, 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 F. Assume the relative humidity from part b.

b. Find the moisture balance ventilation rate (Qm) based on the outside temperatures in "a" and an outside relative humidity of 45% and an inside relative humidity of 75%. c. Graph, digitally, the ventilation rate (y axis) vs outside temperature (x axis) for "a," and "b." d. On your graph, mark the line that governs the ventilation system as outside temperature changes. In general, what conclusion can you draw about when certain balances govern the ventilation rate. e. At what outside temperature is the point of no heat? f. Using the governing ventilation rate at -10 F, size the furnace to keep the 15 lb pigs at 85 F. Provide your answer in btu/hr.

What is the CO2 balanced ventilation rate for the barn in problem 1 at 85 degrees inside (interpolate the heat production values). Assume outside CO 2 is 415 ppm and the inside goal is 2650 ppm.
