A system of two loads with masses m1 and m2 is suspended using two pulleys. One of the pulleys is fixed to the ceiling and the other one is carried by a rope which connects the first load to the ceiling through the two pulleys. The second pulley then carries the second load on its axis. The mass of each pulley is M and the radius R, and they can rotate around their axes with no friction, and there is no slip between the ropes and pulleys. The ropes are inextensible. The pulleys can be approximated as being discs or cylinders. Find the accelerations a1 and a2 of the loads.
