After watching the 15 minute video on Jeff Bezos, do some additional web-based research on either Bezos himself or Amazon in terms of strategy. In addition, read the article "Taming the Titans" from a recent Economist article from this past January that discusses Google, Facebook and Amazon in relation to "network effects." Include at least (2) working links to what you find then discuss what you see as a few of the top strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing Amazon - this does not have to be an exhaustive list - I'm mainly interested in seeing what you perceive as the top ones - 3 to 5 of each are fine! Explain what you perceive to be the key elements to Amazon's phenomenal growth and success in both sales and, more recently, profitability. Also, after reading the article in The Economist and doing some more research of your own, discuss what future threats may be looming in the environment for companies like Amazon that rely heavily on network effects.
