After watching the video discuss two topics that make a high perfornace team work. Communication Communication plays a big role to have high-performance teamwork because the group feels like they are feeling heard from their leaders. A leader should be able to listen to the team and factor what she has talked with the team in her decision making. Keeping it clear with the team is always the best way to go so the team does not feel excluded in any kind of ideas or decisions taking place. There is a quote that has really stuck with me by Simon Sinek "Transparency doesn't mean sharing every detail. Transparency means providing the context for the decisions we make." Keeping constant communication with a team does not mean that you have to give every detail but enough information where the team does not feel left out or excluded. They are happier that they are being included in all the aspects that has to do with or affect their team or department. Authenticity and Vulnerability I think this topic is very important to have a high-performance teamwork because it is important for the team to see the true side of there leader. As a leader of a team, we need to be okay with not bien the smartest person in the room but that their success is based on the success of the people around them. Its okay for the team to see that as a leader you have failed and that you have overcome those failures as well it makes a leader more human. When leaders allow their team to be authentic, they will get the best out of each team member. When a team is limited, and they are inauthentic this may lead in not getting good results the team will just go with the flow and not express any ideas. Which will at the end of the day limit the employee turnover rate because they feel like they can not be themselves there for limiting themselves and their skills.
