Control group is not given the medicine. Experimental group is given medicine. We want to test if the Fever medicine has any effect on the college students.

$1.$ Identify your dependent and independent variables and write the H$0$ and H$1$ for your study.$$Here$,$ as we are testing for the effect of Medicine on students, Medicine is the Independent Variable and College students health is Dependent Variable

Null Hypothesis$($H$0)$: There is no significant difference between the two groups$($Control and Experimental$).$ The fever medicine has no effect on students.

Alternative Hypothesis$($H$1)$: Fever medicine has a sigificant effect on college students. The results are not equal to the two groups.

$2.$ Explain what level of significance$/$confidence interval you would use.$$I would prefer using $95\%$ confidence level for this study as this is the most appropriate and safer thing. This is the most common value chosen for majority of studies.

$3.$ Explain what p$-$values would cause you to accept or reject the null hypothesis$$As our Confidence level is $95\%,$ alpha value is $0\mathrm{.}05.$ We compare the p value with alpha value. If the obtained pvalue is greater than $0\mathrm{.}05,$ we may accept the Null Hypothesis at $5\%$ level of significance. If pvalue is less than $0\mathrm{.}05,$ we Reject the Null Hypothesis at $5\%$ level of significance

$4.$ Determine how you could you affect central tendency of your data$/$increase the power.$$Power is nothing but $1-$ P$($Type $2$ error$).$ To maximise the power, we need to Minimise Type $2$ Error. Type $2$ error is also called as the Consumer Risk.
