Assignment topic (BUS329, TM 2023): Efficient Market Hypothesis: Application of Event Study method

Event study method is used to test semi-strong form of market efficiency. In this assignment you will be required to test if investors can earn abnormal return from the shares invested in your selected firm. You will need to select a public announcement of your selected firm, for example, dividend, earning or a major merger or acquisition announcement and examine if abnormal returns were earned by the investors.
