Assume that among the farmers markets in the San Francisco Bay Area the price X per pound of Fuji apples has meant $2 and standard deviation 50 cents; the per-item price Y for Hass avocados has meant $1.50 and standard deviation 25 cents; the per bunch price Z of kale has mean S1.70 and standard deviation 10 cents. Each weekend I buy 3 pounds of Fuji apples at one market, 3 pounds of Fuji apples at another market 5 Hass avocados at a third market, and 2 bunches of kale at a fourth market. (The markets are randomly selected). Compute the mean and standard deviation of my cost. Will the answers be the same if I buy everything in the same market?
