Assume you work for a company in sales and therefore are entitled to not only hourly pay, but commission and bonus as well. You work 40 hours in a payroll week. Calculate your gross pay for your company if you make $x per hour (you select your rate!), earn a 5% bonus (of gross pay), and earn 10% commission (of gross pay). I am a sales representative for Big Till's Tire and Wheels and my hourly wage is $24 per hour. My pay would be $960 for the 40 hour pay period. I would earn $48 for the 5% bonus that I received, and $96 in sales commission on top of my weekly pay. My gross pay on my pay stub should read $1,104 for the pay period. Hourly pay rate Hours worked Wages earned 5% Sales bonus 10% Commission Total Gross Pay $24.00 40 $24.00 X 40 $960.00 X 0.05 $960.00 X 0.10 $960.00 + $48.00 + $96.00 $960.00 $48.00 $96.00 $1,104.00 Assume you work for a company in sales and therefore are entitled to not only hourly pay, but commission and bonus as well.
