- Jodie has been working for Sunrise Hotels Ltd as a head chef in the hotel's restaurant. She was been working for a period of 5 years upon completing a diploma in cookery and international cuisine. On March 25 she was fired by the HR manager for allegations of poor performance (Jodie was unaware of any poor performance complaints nor any investigation that was undertaken by the employer. According to the contract signed by Jodie, only the managing director can terminate the employment contract. Jodie is disappointed by the termination and seeks advice as to any potential claim for unjustified termination, unfair terminations and or wrongful termination. What is your advice to Jodie?
