Cases that raise substantial amount of interest in the use of "advanced directives" which allow individuals to put in writing their wishes regarding incapacitation or authorizing a proxy to make those decisions for them. Even fewer people in the US have an advanced directive or other document despite a relatively simple procedure. Why are these documents rarely used despite incredible importance? Would you execute one and would you feel comfortable expressing these thoughts to others?
