- What will you do to continue to work on and improve your counseling skills before your graded counseling sessions next semester? Please provide specific ideas/examples.
To improve my counseling skill for next semester. The first thing I am going to do is to practice on how to be calm and less nervous during the counseling. I will try to ask friend or other student to practice the counseling with me. I will practice on how to counsel a patient without looking at the rubric. I will also make sure I am familiar with the medication and try to ask myself some important question: What is the medication for? What is the disease state of the medication? Why does the patient take the medication? How long does the patient need to take the medication? What are some advantages and disadvantage of the medication?
