On her way back, Cindy drove dangerously through a red traffic light, colliding with a car driven by Frankie. Frankie was injured seriously and Frankie's car was damaged badly. The accident occurred because Cindy was driving too fast and could not stop in time. Frankie wants to sue Cindy to claim compensation of HKS 550,000. a) Explain to Cindy the civil and criminal natures of her case. (15 marks) b) Advise Frankie as to which court will try this tort case. Explain the jurisdictions of the mentioned court and the reasons for selecting it.
