Problem 1 (7 Points) For each of the following questions, base your answers on information that may be found in the 10-K filings of MGM Resorts International (Ticker: MGM), Caesar's Entertainment (Ticker: CZR), and Wynn Resorts (Ticker: WYNN) for the year-ending December 31, 2019. You may feel free to use "year-end" numbers as proxies for the "average" of the applicable number. A. (2) For which of the three companies is "Gaming (Casino)" the highest percentage of total company revenue for the year-ending December 31, 2019? For each of the three companies, has "Gaming", as a percentage of all revenue, been increasing, decreasing, or remaining approximately the same? If you are not able to determine the answer, do you feel that the omission of applicable information for one (or more) of the companies is "strategic"? Why or why not? B. (2) What is the average daily amount bet on a single MGM Resorts slot machine for the year-ending December 31, 2019? (Assume that casino winnings are 8.5% of "slots handle".) For purposes of this question, consider only the slot machines for the "Domestic Resorts". C. (3) How does this number compare to the comparable number for Caesar's and for the Las Vegas segment of Wynn? (Please state any assumptions that you are making in your calculation.) If you are unable to calculate the comparable number for Caesar's and/or Wynn, do you feel that the omission of some part of the information necessary to make the calculation was "strategic" in the sense that Caesar's and/or Wynn did not want to facilitate the calculation? Why or why not?
